Ever since the moon landing, scientists, entrepreneurs and space enthusiasts have looked to Mars. Some believe there might even be water there. But despite all the hype and recent talk about sending humans to the red planet, we have yet to see it happen.

For the 2020 Super Bowl LIV , we wanted to tap into the ever-growing interest and fascination with space exploration in general, and Mars in particular, through a big and cinematic sci-fi adventure inspired by recent blockbusters.

Directed and shot by Academy award-nominees Bryan Buckley and Rodrigo Prieto, the spot takes place in a not too distant future where a crew of astronauts is trekking across the surface of Mars in search for the source of all life: water.

Will they find be able to find some and bring it back to earth?
